Brief introduction:
TBPB is a low volatile, yellowish transparent liquid. It is an ester organic peroxide. It is used as a medium temperature initiator for polymerization reactions (such as polystyrene, polyethylene and poly-acrylic acid), a curing agent for unsaturated polyester and a curing agent for silicone rubber.
Main Application:
1. The excellent medium temperature initiator of high pressure polyethylene (LDPE) is mostly used in pipe or kettle process. It can be combined with initiator tert butyl peroxyvalerate, tert butyl peroxy2-ethylhexanoate, initiator tert butyl peroxyneodecanoate and diisopropylbenzene hydrogen peroxide to form a composite catalyst system, with better polymerization effect.
2. In the polystyrene suspension polymerization process, it is used in combination with benzoyl peroxide (BPO), which is the most commonly used initiator of polystyrene or polystyrene co-polymer.
3. In the polymerization process of acrylate, instead of azo initiator, the toxicity in the resin is reduced. It can also be used in the polymerization of vinyl acetate.
4. It is a high temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyester. This product is widely used in the curing process of unsaturated polyester such as FRP, coatings and adhesives, such as the molding process of SMC, BMC and DMC. This product is the preferred curing agent for the high-temperature curing of unsaturated polyester, and has a very ideal curing effect for molding and pultrusion molding. If it is combined with BPO, TBPEH, CH and other initiators, the effect is better
