Chemical name: Tert-Amyl hydroperoxide
Another name: Tert-amyl peroxide, TAHP, tert-amyl hydrogen peroxide
CAS No.: 3425-61-4
Molecular formula: C5H12O2
Molecular-weight: 104.1
Brief Introduction:
TAHP is a colorless or yellowish transparent liquid. It is a commonly used initiator for free radical reaction. It is characterized by its good thermal stability, safe use and easy control. Its activity does not change significantly within three months under 50 degrees Celsius, and does not require higher cost of cryopreservation. It can be used in emulsion polymerization, water phase polymerization, curing and polymerization polymerization. In many respects, its performance is better than that of over two sulfate. Cumene, hydrogen peroxide and benzoyl peroxide. The decomposition products of TAHP are mainly Tert- pentanol and a small amount of acetone, which are non corrosive and have low requirements for equipment. Most of the other initiators will form acidic by-products. TAHP is also widely used in polymerization initiators of polystyrene and polystyrene co-polymers (such as San, ABS, etc.), acrylic acid, meth-acrylic acid and vinyl chloride. TAHP is a very important intermediate in organic synthesis.

Solubility: easily soluble in alcohol, esters, ethers, hydrocarbons and other organic solvents, slightly soluble in water.
Package: 20kg, PE bucket packaging (180kg polyethylene plastic barrel or IBC packaging can also be used, but special attention should be paid to that when using IBC packaging, SADT is 50 ℃, critical temperature is 55 ℃. Small packaging can also be packaged according to the specifications required by users).
Storage: store in a cool and ventilated place below 30 ° C. Keep the package closed and well ventilated. The maximum storage temperature is 35 ℃. Avoid mixing with reducing agents such as amines, acids, alkalies and heavy metal compounds (accelerators and metal soaps). It is strictly prohibited to sub package and take them in the warehouse.
