BPO is a white particle or powder. It is a diacyl organic peroxide. It is a medium and low temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyester; It is an important bleaching agent for flour, decolorizing agent for vegetable oil and vulcanizing agent for diene rubber; It is one of the most commonly used free radical initiators, a common initiator of acrylate, and a very important initiator of polystyrene and polystyrene co-polymer. It is mainly used as co-polymerization initiator of polystyrene and poly-acrylic acid, curing agent of unsaturated resin and vulcanizing agent of silicone rubber. It can be used in combination with the initiator tert-Butyl peroxide benzoate.
